i'm buying a CUCV that has the troop seats in the back with a canvas cover, so i'm going to take the ribs and "modify" them to fit and use them as the frame, then i'll take the canvas top and get some clear plastic for the windows (like what jeeps have for windows in there soft tops). anyone know where i can get the clear plastic stuff?
also for the half doors, i pretty much have them figured out, cut to where i want them, put some plate in the gap and weld it up. the only thing i'd have to figure out is how to open the door, i thought about those slick door handles that corvettes had in the 70's...
Call some auto glass shops. Some of them may mess with convertables.
Call Vinale Top Specialist (or how ever you spell it.) My brother runs that shop. They are in Oklahoma city, but Im sure he can ship you what you need. Ask for Phillip Parsons,405-947-8677.
most any upholstery shop can get it. especially those that do boat tops etc.

ur gonna half doors on the jimmy right? I saw a truck on fullsizebronco web site, and ya it was a chevy, but from what it looked like, the guy picked up a spare set of doors from the junkyard and cut the window rail off and cut like a v shape out, but laft the door handle to open from the outside. To keep it from flexing out of shape he welded some braces and boxxed in the area around the cut out. Get with Ghostrider and he'll be able to tell you were to go at too see the truck online.
