I have a 92 Cherokee 4.0L I6 with DANA 30 up front Chrisler 8.25 out back Have 3.55 with POSI Track in read well I have 31" Swampers never had a problem offroad looses a little power on road but wanting to run 33 12.50 what gears should I go to. Also don't I have to buy a slip yoke elimanator kit to put a 6.5" Rough Country lift? Any ideas?
i'd go with 4.56 gears.as for the sye some need them some don't. but most will with 6.5" of lift. my old cherokee had 5.5" of lift and no sye but i did have a 1" t-case dropso you may be able to get by for a while without the sye if you have a t-case drop but a sye should still be in your plans

4.11 or 4.56 with 33's - i would go 4.56
i think a SYE is the best investment on a XJ - u can get one for a cool 200 from PORC - performance off road center - i have had mine over 3 years no problems
