i know where i can get a front dana 44 out of a 76 cherokee. my questiong is, can i make this work in a 94 YJ? it will go into my buddy's rolling chasis and to take care of the passenger side drop issue the t-case is going to be a np205. also what's the WMS on that axle, is it close to the WMS on a ford 8.8? one more question, would you get the dana 44 front or the 8.8 rear first? my buddy is kinda strapped for cash right now and we have access to both but not the funds right now

Is the jeep Full size? If so then it will be wider than the exploder 8.8. What axles does he have now?
well the guys on pirate already answered my questions... the axles in it now are the stock ones, i'm guessing dana 30 and dana 35...
the WMS on the explorer 8.8 is 58.5" and the WMS on the dana 44 is between 61" and 63"
being that its a 76 it should be around 61" wide. however it should be passenger side drop. so in order for it to work in the yj's you'll have to change the t-case. because they are drivers side drop

yeah, we have the driver side drop issue covered. he's going to run a sm465 and either 205 or dana 300...
he jeeped out on getting it today, so hopefully when he's ready to get it, it will still be there
ill try to put a tape on one today you reckon my 82 bout the same?
it should be between 61" and 63", but yours should be a driver drop
