been doing some research and i think te flat black paint would look good and unique on my truck. something like the picture attached but without the goofy flames. has anyone had any experience with this type of paint? is it necessary to get it done professionally? does it require a non-gloss clear coat? is the body prep the same as with doing a high quality gloss paint job? need yalls .02 here guys!

sorry, forgot the pic
Thought you were selling the truck pretty soon, so why put the money in it.

Without some kind of clear coat, mud will really do a number on the paint!
What ever you do PLEASE get it done professionally. There are so many small details a professional can do than someone who does not paint everyday does not think about. IMHO flat black is for hot rods and is a little played out on newer vehicles.
i like the flat black, prolly be the next coat on the fronty
If you scratch it, how do you buff it out?

Thats easy! just buy another can of flat black

You can not wax it for sure...
i dont want it to shine at all. just want it to look like it is MEANT to be painted that way. tired of what EVERYONE has. shiny custom paint jobs are played out if u ask me. want something different. blacked out wheels, paint, lights, windows. everything.. dunno. will check into it further before deciding. and yes, im still deciding on whether or not to sell it.. i am a very indecisive person. ha.
