I have a 92 Cheroke 4.0L I just put a brand new radiator, new water pump, and cleaned everything out and all new antifreeze. I don't have a blown head gasket my electric fan works great. Down the highway i run about 190 degress when I stop it goes to to 240 at times don't understand. Any suggestions. And don't have a cracked head.
Denali_on_26's had this problem as well... seems to be an issue with Cherokees. Hes got a thread about it somewhere on here.
fan clutch, poor thermostat
you need to also get that underhood heat out of there via vents or hood lift - also check and make sure your efan is working
yea im trying to find pontiac grand prix vents so i can put them in my hood
hood vents, lower thermostat, and a bottle of Water Wetter.
was the electric fan put on the right way? what I mean does it pull air threw the radiator (if its in the engine compartment) or push it threw if its outside the radiator.
did you burp the system?
Pressurized system as in no cap on the radiator?
convert to closed! one of the best options out there!
