i just got finished installed my 14 bolt and test drove it last night, when i turn it feels like i have a spool or it's welded and my rear tires chirp.
is that normal? if not how do i fix it?
its normal. when accelerating it will lock but it will loosen up over time and not chirp the tires as bad
i had to get used to the noise that comes with one. i have a 4-speed in my bronco so it's real eractic gonin down the road
the detroit also has that really nice ratcheting noise when it does unlock... that will give you the chills if your not used to it. it will also make the truck wanna sway alot in turns if your not steady on the throttle... its not as noticable in long trucks with autos as it is with short light rigs with sticks... but its badazz.. nascar uses it so why not...
