plz someone have pity on a fellow offroader. i need a manual transmission for a 83 toyota. model L52 . if you have one laying around or in a old junker plz let me get it. i tried ordering one from marlin crawler but my money got a bit funny. i wanna go wheelin so bad but cant b.c of trans probs.
Is yours rebuildable? You might want ot get an estimate from a shop, or buy the bearing kit and any other parts, and do it yrouself.
at a shop 610 is the best i can find. 280 if i do it myself. ive had it rebuilt 3 times in 2.5 yrs. something is causing it to sling synchros apart. im not hard on it. and ive had 5or 6 rides on it since last time it got done.
i got mine at advanced for like 250 or so but mine was for my cherokee im not sure if yours would be more .
w56 is out of a taco it wont bolt to my block
w56 were used in 85-95 toyota pickups with 22re. same motor as yours so it will bolt up. and the top shift cases cam in 85-88 pickups. so it will work in yours but you may have to modify crossmember and driveshafts
Yep, it's a W56 and top shift case in my 85 forunna.
i was talking w/ a guy on pirate and he said the top to holes on the w56 were lower?
