I think my transmission may be going out. When u start from a dead stop it goes but revs up before it shifs to 2nd good but everything else works perfect any suggestions on what to do or just new another one. I know my fluid as probably never been changed.
When I say rev I mean to high but I can give it a little more skinny pedal and it will shift. Help me out guys. Thanks everybody
Vacuum leak. Not getting enough vacuum to the modulator valve. Check your hoses.
no vaccum modulater on an aw4 res. its computer controlled. are you sure its full of fluid?
i'm not sure it seems to be could that cause that i'm changing to fluid and filter today
Yes Low Fluid Could Cause That..........theres A Myth About If You Have Never Changed Tranny Fluid Past 60k, Dont Worry About Doin It
thats not a myth!!! that happened to my z71 at 83k miles. i cahnged the fluid and filter and it wouldnt move at all.
well that clears that up!
My XJ was doing this until today. My CEL was on and I knew my NSS needed cleaning b/c I had no backup lights. After I cleaned it, the CEL was still on, so I checked the codes. I had a code for the TPS, so I replaced it today. Now I have no CEL and the tranny shifts smooth every time. I have heard that a bad TPS will cause the tranny to shift hard or not at all, so this could be your problem too. It was only $40 and took about 30 min to fix.
the TPS makes the tranny not shift and the back up lights not work?
