So i just found out that my last day working for the navy will be December 17th, paid vacation until the 31st of January. But I am trying to stay here in Mississippi. I can only do that though if i can find a job. Any suggestions? anyone know of anything that is open? No particular area i guess, just looking for something available...

I have my resume done now, just looking for places to submit it. I have checked on monster and career builder, but have not seen much on there. Does anyone know of any openings or anything? preferably a full time admin or clerical position?

Last time I was hunting I just went door to door handing mine out to the placing I would like to work. Some will not take them but alot will. Just ask the person could that please pass it on to the person over hiring process (HR Manager etc..)
I was stocked at the calls I recieved when I done this. It never hurts to try and good luck.

my thing is that i have realized that things are a lot different down here in the south than they are in my small northern country town. certain people only want to hire certain people... and i dont know anything about any businesses or anything. i also dont know what neighbor hoods to stay away from or anything like that. i am completely new to this kinda and just a lil confused i guess....
(btw... i am not meaning to offend anyone at all, and i am really sorry if it does, i am just saying that i am from a small town in michigan where we do not have a ghetto, gangs, or even a lot of rascism, so this is all quite new to me)
go to all the job sites and type navy in the search area. many places look for ex military.
