hmmmm might have to have you check out my Dell. It hasnt ran very good for quite sometime now. I got another one for my home and use this one for work. I dont need half the crap on it really so i might get in with ya when i get in in 2 weeks from work.

hey i need help linking two machines together in a network --- one is on vista the other XP - both dells - can i do this and not have to run 2 monitors? i have files on my old xp machine i would like to access
Murph, XP and Vista don't jive with each other. On a couple of occasions I have been able to share files between them, but most of the time I can't even see a shared printer. If you just need to access files from the XP computer and are worried about space on the Vista computer, you could always slave the XP drive in the Vista computer and just access it whenever you like. If you want both computers functional its more of a challenge, you could get a program like WinVNC which is like a remote access program. That will allow you to control the XP computer and see your files, but not really move them between the 2 computers.
I am not saying it can't be done, its just a royal pain and sometimes it does work.
