I am about to try to put a Chevy motor and trans. in my 89 Jeep. The donor vehicle will most likely be a 96 Yukon. I will have the whole truck so I can pull what i need. I want to keep the EFI.
My first question is about the radiator is there an alternative to buying aftermarket.
I need any advise that you guys can give.
If you got an aftermarket radiator you would probably be buying one that is bigger with more cores and it will flow better to keep everything a little cooler.
and he claims to be a ford man!...haha.....when you gonna start workin on it, ill talk with you tomorrow at moms house

maybe one from a v8 cheerokee?
I want any advice about any of this swap, not just the radiator.
Talk with Mike327. His Cheep has a small block in it.
Terry I am running the same radiator as what you have in your Jeep now with the LT1. Telico 4x4 sold it as a v8 swap radiator, so for it cools ok but I have not put much of a load on it. M.O.R.E has good motor mounts and they offset the engine to the pass side about 1 inch. Come by some time and we will talk about the swap. I will try to post a few links on doing the swap.
What trans and what t/c are you going to be using? I would seriously consider a 8.8 axle swap in the near future, the turdy five is just not up to the task.
Hey Mike, I will come by when I get a chance and your in town.
I will be using the automatic that is in the truck and my 231 transfer case.
