Boy this sucks. Woke up this morning with my eyes and nose almost swelled shut, bloodshot eyes and my face is on fire!! Its very painful. Went to the Dr.s office having no idea what was wrong with me looking for some answers, but the dr was as lost as me, gimme a steroid shot and sent me home. After getting home 4 hours later, unsatisfied, i started researching and come up with arsenic poisioning from treated plywood. Im in the process of remodeling one of my bathrooms and im using treated plywood to prevent the floor from rotting again. The wood was soaked with CCA (C????, chromium,arsenic) which is the wood treatment chemical. I guess the sawdust got me cuz my nostrils and throat are raw and bleeding. I work with treated wood weekly and it has never bothered me before, but it did this time. Just posting this to let everyone know to beware of CCA this crap dont play!!
never had the bleeding problem, but when I do much carpentry work envovling CCA treated wood, I cough up green junk for several days. It's bad to burn CCA treated wood too. Hope you get well soon man!

Sounds bad. I have never heard of anyone getting ill from it. Will you be going back to the Dr. to see if he can help?
im going to play it by ear for now,..........just got done reading up on it, and its surprising how many people have died from this same stuff
Uhhhh, I'm no toxicologist, but you might want to go to the hospital. Arsenic can have a cumulative effect on the body. You may have a bigger build up than you think.They can run hair, urine, and blood samples to let you know.

P.S. You really oughtta go back to the Dr & tell them you suspect arsenic poisoning. Tests won't pick up arsenic unless they specifically test for it. You can get real dead from this mess.
Said a little prayer for you. You might need a little more than what the doctors can do.
I'd go back to the Dr. and get more tests run to be sure.
