Anyone know where i can get a reasonably priced CB? Not exactly sure where i would mount it in my jeep.. but any suggestions on CBs or where to mount would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

I bought mine new at WalMart for about $35. I went to a CB shop and bought an antenna mount and antenna cable. Mdawg gave me an antenna.

I started out with a $10 magnetic mount antenna from WalMart, but it didn't hold up to off-roading very well.

Installation is rather easy. CBs come with a bracket that you can screw to the bottom of the dash, or wherever. Two wires for power. Route the antenna cable. Mount the antenna.

i will check out walmart, but i really dont know where in my jeep to mount it i am saying.. and also, i dont have any clue what kinda of antenna to get, buddy of mine has a ford F150 with the magnetic antenna but his dont really make any difference if it falls off cuz it hangs by the wires and if it falls it only falls into the bed of his truck... i though, do not have an actual "bed" in my jeep for a catchall. lol

cheap a** mag mount antenna beside roll bar (the antenna works fine for trail use & is completly hidden)


The radio is somewhat hidden from potential thieves, and the internal antenna doesn't draw attention. The magnet holds well enough to stay in place whether the top is on or not. The dust & dried mud scattered throughout the floor and console is optional equipment and is not required.

Don't have any pics at work but mine is mounted on the dash. I like it a lot. I will post you some pics tonight. It's the cheap one from wally-world too.

don't know how fast you can get it but this is a clean mount also from Quadratec http://www.quadratec.com/category/CB+Rad.../index.htm
