Purchased a 69 Grille on eBay... soon to be installed to help with the 68 to 69 conversion.

Compared the two center grilles then carefully removed the grille:

Disassembled the grille, replaced the 68 center piece with the 69 center piece:

Drilled out a couple holes for the hood latch release and test fitted the 69 converted grille:
