I have the axle disconnect. I plan to install the Aussie locker.
Will this locker make my front driveshaft turn full time?
My real question is, why not just weld the spyder gears since the disconnect will allow you to drive on pavement?
I'm just wondering.
I wish I could help you with that. I do have the Aussie, but I don't have disconnects. When I'm in 2wd, I don't know the Aussie is in the diff. When I am in 4wd, my axles may as well be welded since I have great traction, but I also have the convenience of putting back in 2wd, freeing up the diff for tight turns without having to get out of the vehicle. It also allows me to make tight turns on pavement by allowing the diff to ratchet freely, still not having to lock and unlock the axles. Pros and Cons with either, I suppose. I just don't want to weld my spider gears leaving me the only choice later, is to replace it.
Spoiled ,Actually in a round-a-bout way you did answer the question. The locker will rachet between the driveshaft and the left tire.
I will make your drive shaft turn. Your axle disconnect is on the passenger side axle. But with a locker your left axle shaft turning will make the drive shaft turn.
i know Tims number if you want it he is the one that makes the actual aussie locker. He can tell you everything you need to know.
