I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of paint I would need to use to paint a diamond plate truck tool box.
thanks
Wet paint.

its diamond bright aluminum
We did the same thing to a aluminum toolbox:
Cleaned it up good, really scuffed it, then used a zinc based primer which is the key (looked like a military green color). Then used regular paint. I never had a problem with the paint peeling or anything for 2 years...until it hit a tree at 60mph!
been wantin to know this myself, im thinkin of painting my allum. rims black

Where did you get the zinc based primer

Sherwin williams has it, but they may have to order it. It is part of their industrial paints. We used to put zinc-based primers on water towers. Nasty stuff to work with. You have to mix a base, a hardener, thinner, and zinc powder together. Keep it agitated or the zinc will settle out. it sets up like concrete, though. May be kinda expensive, too. If you see somebody painting a water tower, they can probably spray the zinc for you for pretty cheap(offer them about 20 bucks, painters are usually meth heads and will do anything for 20 bucks), because they always have extra paint.
Where I used to work they painted some of the rotary lifts with that zinc primer
