If you have a carburated motor and soon as you start it it revs so incredibly high that ya think the thing is gonna jump outta the engine bay where would you start? Alreaddy looked at vacuum lines. Know bout the EGR valve and pcv valve. Has this happened to anyone and know what to do? Thanks
think you might have trash in carb?
The high idle?
It's suppose to do that till it warms up....then tap the gas and it'll idle down.
I don't know about SCREAMING high...
does it have a man. choke or elec. choke
yea the whole tappoin the gas didnt work i mean the thing goes screamin boom high

Float stuck open, maybe? Try tapping on the float housing with a screwdriver handle.
Oh forgot you are F/I too...you're not carb'd right?
