I have a couple of swr/power/modulation meters if anyone near me wants to come by one weekend and tune their junk.
I had no idea about all this CB antenna tuning - never even heard of such. I just have one of those magnetic based short (maybe 2.5' tall) antennas. Which at the time I thought was pretty cool because the Blazer has a fiberglass top & it's off most of the time in the summer. So with the mag base i could stick it on top of the rollcage if needed. The CB never sounded great, but recently it turns on but no sound coming out ...fuzz or anything.
Recon i burnt it up? How could i tell?
Check your switches. You may have bumped one of them from CB to PA.
Also make sure to NEVER key up the mic without having an antenna attatched. You can burn one up in a heartbeat that way.
Back the squelch down......will give you an idea
