I have a Fuel injected zuk that surges? If the brake booster goes out could that cause it? I got on hwy 90 drove fine then it started surging, went to turn round then it stopped. kinda off and on kinda thing?
A leaking booster would cause a significant vacuum loss. Even a small leak could cause that fluctuation. Do you know the booster is bad? You could plug the hose to the booster to see if the surging stops.
Idle surge is caused from many of things. One being a leak somewhere down the line of the MAP sensor. B/c your Map sensor is telling your computer it is getting so much air pressure, but further down the line it is getting more. To determine if it is a vaccum leak, Pull your intake off of your throttle body, Start it up. Put your hand over the throttl body so that it doesnt get any air, If it dies, a leak isnt your problem. If it only does it every now and then. It most likely isnt a leak. Another problem could be your throttl body having sludge all around it and not closing all the way. To fix that, open your throttle body and clen it, and where it seals around the casing with some carb cleaner real good. Another issue could be an IACV(idle air control valve) to fix that you could take it apart and clean it, or just buy another.

Idle control solenoid valve. Any one have one of these for a fuel injected zuk samurai? it hase two vacuum lines one comes from the air cleaner and other to the throttle body with a electrical connection on the bottom

no suzuki dealer only item by the looks of it and i called at 206 and the parts section closed at 2. So I'll probably take the pickup, Tyler and charlie wanna go, i dont know bout others

k reckon i'm gonna pass on that ride then. the old mj aint that great at highway speeds yet and i'm not gonna go hwy90 all that way
