Ok, I have come to the conclusion that the motor in my 91 ford crew cab dually is not blown. I put a new batter in it today, and the thing tried to fire. Then I tried shotting some either to it, but the battery is dead again. It did however backfire acouple of times when i shot the either in. What do you guys think. Oh, it is a 91 ford with a 460 gas motor. What should I try next?
Well whats tha back ground on it what happened did it do???
I got the truck awhile ago, and the guys said that he was driving it, and it quit. He thought it was a blown motor, or an electricle problem.
first off i would see if its getting fuel to the fuel rail then do a compression check then see if its getting fire. and report back
I will try to look at those things this weekend.

Does it sound like it has a blown motor?
Like he said check fuel fire air and compression. Then timing and feul psi.
doesn't sound blown, but could be a number of things wrong with it. when you do the compression test you need to test each cylinder
it's a F-(found) O-(on) R-(road) D-(dead) truck...........j/k Shannon
Actually, it is found in the drive way dead right now. LOL
Ok guys, and gals. I have been doing some work on the truck, and still no start. Here is what Ive done so far.

New distributor cap
new rotor
new plugs
new plug wires
new battery
new fuel filter

I have a new timing chain, and hope to takle that this weekend. Also, I do have fuel passing through the fuel filter, but how do I know it is getting to the motor?
