does anyone know if a 30RH or TF999 3 speed automatic that use to bolt up to 1992-1996 Jeep Wrangler with 4.0L and older 2.5 Cherokees 3-speed automatic tranny will bolt up to a 1992 Cherokee 4.0L. I dont really want a overdrive tranny for a trail rig that want let me fully lock the tranny in 1st gear.
the one from behind the 4.0 will bolt up to a 4.0 but not the 2.5. if it was me i'd stick with the aw4. its pretty much the best auto that has been put in a jeep.
The AW4 is actually not a Jeep made product its make by Aison Warner people in Japan.
