Like I posted up in another post, I am looking for a new trail rig. The question is, what kind of jeep should I get? I like the XJ cherokees.

Sounds like you already have made the right choice!! You can drive it daily, wheel it, and take the family along!! It gets groceries, too, if you so desire.

go with the xj....

get a YJ. It will haul the wife and two kids and thats all. Hahahaha. You can get an XJ really cheap and they are good rigs. Even lifted with all the goodies there still afforable. If you dont have much need for room then get a wrangler, personally I would get a YJ because there cheaper to lift than a TJ.

I really want JK, but I like having the room for camping gear, and cant afford one. Keep in mind I am currently offroading in a suburban. I like the Toyoata 4 runners, but there is alot more aftermarket goodies for the Jeeps. I would really like to get a truck, but just not enough room for the kids.

I really like this one, but they want way to much for it. What do you guys think is a fair price for this jeep?

Oh, Im looking for a rig, that will only be a trail rig. I am not going to off road my DD anymore. It sucks, when the dadgum thing is broke.

Thats a good looking Cherokee, i have always liked the 2 Doors better, have you considered a Full Size Jeep like the Wagoneer, or Cherokee?

I have looked at them, but I dont like them as much. Up here, the smaller the rig the better. talk about some tight trails. The last time I took the burb out, It took 3 jeeps over an hour to winch me through one small section of trail.

Are you looking for one already built or stock? Or just whatever is the best and least price? I can look at the Auto Auction on friday and check for you.
