If so, check out their line of muffler bearings, too.
no I read it !
but you had me going until i read the part about the dual inlets
I voted other On a 5.4 ford i would cut all cats and run true duals off each side with an H pipe right before the rear tires and 45 it out tha back. That large ford engine would sound great and you can add mufflers after that if its 2 noisy for ya. It would sound alot better than these gt mustangs running around everywhere. Do to Them extra horses under tha hood! I just did my tow rig just like that it has a 5.0L 302.

This is how I have my Tundra and I love it! When it is idling it jus tsits there and rumbles a little and then it wakes up when you hit the gas. It is not that bad inside the cab only at certain RMPs. All I did was cut off the resonator (left all the cats) and used a single in dual out original Flowmater 40 series (non delta flow).
I know its not a ford but with my Z71 i just had them run pipe all the way back to the corners with a slight drop with 4" tips. I may be tone deaf but i think it sounds amazing...I personally like the popping unequal pulses it produces. just me. So i vote no muffler, no x pipe etc
Since no one has mentioned it, i will. The main reason for the X & H pipes is that it addes horsepower as 1 pulse pushes the others out the end of the pipes. The X pipe is probably a little more effective.
So... cut all cats and install (X or H) straight pipes... glass packs or no?
Flow master Not glass packs.
My Dually has streight pipes with glass packs, and it is louder than you can amagin. When I get the money, Im putting flowmasters in the place of the glass packs. It just gives a better sound, and more horse power. Granted my dually has a 460, but you get the Idea

Love those 7.5L 460 v8... Ford messed up when they stopped production after 1997... we have a 91 and 97 F350 460... better than the v10 that replaced them.
Here's the Y-pipes I have on it at the moment... still undecided whatI'll upgrade to:
