OK im doing a 8.8 swap from a 95 explorer so i know its not a full width axle. but, before i start polishing my dana turdy. should i consider a front axle swap.because I wanna run 35s maybe bigger one day and i dont wanna break everytime i hit the gas. becaused i will be fully locked and low geared. Is there any front axle swap i could do that would be sort close to jeep width and not completely full width? i dont know crap about it. I know i would need to modify it to run coils in the front. but let me know what you guys think?
yo keep the 30! make life easy - parts are all over the place and it will fine with the 33's or 35's - u might break a thing or 2 sometimes but that is ok!
I been thinking the same thing I don't know when I do my long arm this winter if I wanna go 33" pitbulls or go up to 36" iroks with the 30.
What kinda pitbulls are you going to run a love the way the tires look how much do they run
i agree with murphy here. there is no magic swap that is the same width that will give you much increase in strength. a waggy 44 could be swapped in relatively easily but costly and they are said to be only 10% stronger than a hp30. just not worth it to me.
I beat the heck out of my Dana 30 with 35 Baja Claws. Only broke 2 shafts which I was doing something I shouldn't have done.
thanks man, Hey alex have you got the 36s on yet?
nope. will be mounting them and fixing my front axle tomorrow. hopefull have it back going saturday night or sunday.
