I may be getting my hands on an 85 ford bronco with a 6 inch lift and 38.5 tsls. It has a ttb front end and it needs work... I found a front end out of a half ton 79 ford. Its a dana 44.. Has anyone tried this conversion, Is it hard to do can i use tha stock radius arms. and coil springs? Or would it be better just to fix tha ttb and put gears in it?
definitely ditch the ttb. ask whinocaballo he has the same setup and keeps grenading it
I think it should be fairly simple to switch.

wildhorses4X4 dot com is a Ford/ early bronco site you should check out.
dumb question. i know what a ttb is but what does it stand for?

its not a jeep he's talking about i think he wants it halfway right since he is stayin clear of jeeps.... lol but btw yeah it has been done rangerstation.com has the details step by step on what to do and how to do it
I wouldn't go as far as to call the ttb stupid... I've seen ttb rangers and such flex like crazy and hold up. Everything has it's limits though. But the solid axle should hold up much better.
