got in my truck today after work and put it in drive went 3in. forward and the same in reverse, it wouldnt move. was gonna load it on a trailer but called a wrecker instead and had it towed to my dads. drained the gear-oil, pulled 1 axle couldnt hardly budge the other one, gotta get an axle puller. after draining it i ran my finger in the drain hole and i could feel bolts!!! 3 ring gear bolts were laying in the bottom of the housing, 1 was jammed between the housing and the ring gear which explains why it wasnt moving. i have not a clue as to why this happened, i used loctite and torqued to specs. the only thing i can figure is that the loc-tite i used has been in my dads shop for years, it was like red water, does it go bad? im fearful of pulling the chunk tomorrow of what ill find. locker works fine, but prolly full of metal, ma i hope it aint too bad!
Sounds just about like my luck...
It's a Nissan. Just bolt it back together with an impact wrench and get on with your life. Smile
