I remember now why this axle swap isn't finished, I hated grinding the calipers on the 3/4 ton swap to fit these 15" wheels. 2 hours later on the 1 ton caliper and the wheel still doesn't fit... Anyone have any 17" tires I can use as rollers on my H2 wheels? Haha
Well, it only took an hour to get them mounted myself and to clean up. All I used was a 1"x1" square stock I have and a flat head screwdriver with the tip wrapped in electrical tape. should I put the ones with more tread in the front or back? I only plan to use them as rollers and plan on getting tires sooner or later...

I guess it's time to get a master rebuild kit for the rear so I can re-gear it to 4.56 since the front is finished up. Then I need to flex it out, measure for shocks, and do something about the front driveshaft since it's not long enough now that the front axle is moved 2" forward.
Try your original driveshaft first (with conversion joint in it of course), it may actually fit. Because the D60 is so much bigger than the 10 bolt, I had cut mine down about 1.5".
Good upgrades, it'll be a tough K5...that softop looks really nice too!
I put 52" springs in the front which moved the axle forward two inches, so my stock driveshaft is too short to reach the yoke. The pinion yoke is a 1310 though, which is the same as my 10 bolt had. I might upgrade both to 1350's though. Also with the 52's up front I'll get way more flex than with the stock 47" springs, so if it did fit, when I flex it out the shaft will just pull apart...

I found this place though, so I'll order the stuff I need to make a long slip shaft and weld it all up.

With the whole driveshaft delima, I was thinking I don't want to waste alot of money on a front shaft b/c eventually I want to do a 203/205 doubler. After I do that I'll have to redo the shafts anyway. So I guess I'll start looking for a 27 spline 203 and a 32 spline 205...
Well, I took it for a test drive after re-gearing the rear to 4.56 gears, on the way back I got some death wobble. Measured my caster today and it's at 12* positive, so I'm going to redrill my shackles to get my caster to about 8* positive.
Haha, I went to the junkyard to get some fusible links and look for some rear springs and came back witha 27 spline 203... Eek
