I am running one on my Patrol, used to run them on my Jeeps. They are simple to tune and work well off-road. That is my personal opinion and experience, and I have never owned a Samurai, so don't just take my word for it.

IÂ’ve tuned a lot of Weber carbs back in the day; they are an iconic carburetor, you canÂ’t go wrong with one.

I have had one on a zuk. made it run like a screaming ape. I mounted mine backwards cuz it would flood going up straight up hills. then it would flood when going down steep hills. I would highly recommend a my side from zuksoffroad.com it uses a harley carb. runs on about any angle and it makes the zuki a little meaner.

I agree with Mudslideer. I ran 1 on my jeep and had problems going up steep hills. The fuel bowl on mine is wide open so trash can get in it very easily and cause you to run bad.
