Well guys and girls, I leave out for Japan in the AM. I'll be there for about 3 weeks. Jeep is all tucked away in the garage. Won't get a chance to drive at all til I get home. I miss it already.
Oh, I'll miss the family as well.
MGreen, wish I had more time in Japan, I would look you up. It is a shame to travel all that way and not meet up somewhere. I'll make it all the way down to Hiroshima, but it will be a full day of work and one extra day to see the sites. We will definitely go to Peace Memorial Park, but not sure what else.
Godspeed, my friend. Have a great trip and take lots of pictures.
Mdawg, i know how you feel about the jeep, i have a 99 thats a twin to yours. Only difference is the top color. I havent driven mine since the middle of may, it just sits in the carport, but its always ready when i get back to it. Im in shanghai, and will be here until after thanksgiving. What kind of work do you do in japan?
yea well, if ya end up in the area, i'm in the outskirts of tokyo, at yokota AB
Guys, been quite busy this 1st week in Japan. Just got back from Hiroshime this afternoon. We stayed the night and went through Peace Memorial Park at the sight of the Hiroshime A-Bom drop. It was unique and sombering experience.
I have seen a few Jeeps over here. An Unlimited 4-door, an old flat fender fixed up rather nice, and a couple classic Cherokees. Don't have pics, just in-oportune moments.
Here is alink to my photos for this trip. All of them haven't been uploaded yet, but most are there.

Clinton, I work for Nissan in Canton. We are getting ready to launch a light commercial vehicle. Something similar the the Dodge Sprinter van. We are in the trials stage. I am reviewing the current trial build and tooling required to build it. After these trials, the tooling will be shipped to Canton for installation there.
You? Military?

I thought you said you were in South Japan somewhere. We are staying in the Tokyo area. Fussa is not that far from Sagami-ono. We are one stop from Machida. What are you doing next weekend? :tomcat:
So far as I know not much. we usually go and hit some trails on the bikes or parks. Let me know a time and place and I'll meet ya
Do you know where the train station in Sagami-ono is?
I have some folks that do. I'll check with em
