Isn't the 2.3 an interference engine? If your timing is off too bad you could be in danger of ruining that newly rebuilt engine...

it hasnt run long at all just a few secounds at a time

That's all it takes to bend valves.

i done some more adjusting this morning and got it running good few small vac leaks and running a little rich but not a big deal little more adjustments and tuning and she will be ready
