I was leaving from work tonight, and didn't give the jeep any time to warm up, and took off down the road. Get to about 1200rpm and then the jeep gets sluggish, like the brakes were pressed or something (they weren't lol). Keep shifting and trying to accelerate, but it keeps getting power, then sluggish, then gaining, then sluggish. I think it was third gear it was kinda jerking, but I look at the rpms, and they arent going up and down. It feels like pulling someone down the road and slack keeps getting in your tow rope and pulling you back. But after a while, it ran 55-65 no problem. I am hopin that it was just cold and the engine was that sluggish, because I was trying to speed up somewhat quickly. But no matter what I did to the gas pedal, it would stay sluggish (if that's the word to use), like it was under a load. I could press the clutch in and the engine would act normal and rev up, so I am hoping that with it being cold, and under the stress of turning the tires, that it just needed to warm up. Any thoughts?
Check your fuel filter too. I doubt that this is the problem, but my Jeep has recently studdered and lack of power before the fuel line got completely clogged and died. Just a thought.
Clean the throttly body, too. Butterfly might be sticking some.
I will be checking them out today. thanks!
