Yep they sho did. I have a friend that had one that color, and painted it dark green or somethin for some stupid reason. I thought the color was pretty nice.

No. That is way more work and dissassembly than it is worth, IMHO. The transitions in the door jambs are pretty sharp, so it looks good. Not faded.
