Does anyone know if a jeep grand cherokee seat will fit into a jeep cherokee xj? I have found some racing seats for a grand cherokee, that will take a harness, instead of a factory seat belt. I can get a set of them for $200.00.
Just dont know if they will fit.
i don't think they are a direct bolt in. but i'm sure they can be made to work
A drill some angle iron and a few grade 8 bolts and they will fit good!
Maybe a BFH and some tin snips!
If your cherokee has the raised channel in the floor board under the front mount of the seats, then grand seats should swap right in. If your seats mount directly to the floorpans, then you would have to rig up a makeshift platform of some type (c-channel or rectangular tubing) to make the seats sit level. Go on NAXJA.org and do a search for zj seat swap...should turn up several hundred threads on this topic.
