Full Version: E-brake cable problems

Im stuck in my tracks do to a frozen up e brake cable!Frusty2
Its on my 98 chevy k1500 swb.
Does anyone have any fancy ways to get it working again so i can finish my rear brakes?
Ive tried using the the spray lots and lots AND LOTS OF pb blaster and working it back and forth with a prybar.
Can i take it off one side and not the other or
Should i just buy a new one or something like that if i cant get it freed up?


Not making it any better?


Need some ideas cause thats what holding me up on me driving my truck agian!

will the cable off of your 10 bolt work?
It is the cable off my truck! Its always worked till it sat up these past cold months!
Stop by my place one evening with an empty plastic drink bottle, and I will give you some SiliKroil from my gallon container. SiliKroil puts PB Blaster to shame. Wink
