Last night I drove my jeep for the first time in a couple of days. I only took it about 2miles when all of a sudden, I had a realy bad vibration, and a clunking coming from the front end. When I looked at it today, everything looked like it was supposed to. But that was only a quick visual inspection, on my lunch break. Keep in mind, I have a mini spool in the front axle. Does anyone have any thoughts on the matter? And do you think it could have something to do with the mini spool?
asa long as the hubs were unlocked the mini spool isn't the problem. hard to say what the cause is. i'd look at the tie rod ends and ball joints
The hubs were unlocked. I was driving down the highway. I was thinking that maybe the hubs were not unlocking fully.
Death Wobble? Mine does this but usually after I hid a bad bump in the road.
Not a death wobble. It has not done this before.

Found the problem. After removing and inspecting all of the ujoints, I found that the front drive shaft is bent. However that is not the problem that I was looking for. It ended up being the lug nuts. The lugs on the driverside front wheel, are the wrong size, and would not stay tight. Bought 5 new lugnuts, and problem solved. Only one of the lugnuts on that wheel, was the correct size. That was the only one holding the wheel on.
