no i already got the whole kit for the marlin springs i ordered them a little while ago while i was in afghan but the rears havnt come in yet.. I ordered the marlin crawler 5" lift.. then i bought markyB's 4 runner and decided that i needed the 6" lift in the rear so i sent the rear springs back to swap them out for 6" and they havnt come back its been like 3 months. well after todays tear down I find alot of messed up things on the pickup. pretty much the whole front end of this thing is rotten except the frame.. SO!! its back on to markyB old 4 runner.. but even better new's i have the fuel injection off of the pickup and the A/C.. the axles are comming off to be rebuilt and of course the engine tranny and tcase..

So the plan changed due to alot of rust damage.. the new project is markyB's old 4 runner.. I have the marlin lift to install as soon as the springs come in and the axles to rebuild.. fuel injection to install and a/c to install.. the fuel injection will probably happen first after i tear down the pickup all the way and scrap the metal.. oh i also am using the old doors off of the pickup on the 4 runner and taking the orginal 4 runner doors and making them half doors.. the pickup doors have the vent glass that i love.. I want to get a soft topper for the rear like the one that mr. nate has.. i think is name here is 85 blazer or sompthing like that.. but ill keep it posted and pictures to come.. how do you get the pictures to post on here like sport454 did it.. I only know of the photo bucket way..

tell me what you think of the idea im all ears and down for idea's..
i have a set of new marlin 6" lift leafs for a yota, never installed.......make offer
i already bought these im just waiting for them to arrive.. thanks tho.
Ok so sense i posted last i started to tear down the old toyota pickup i realized that there is alot of rust damage and i decided to pimp out the 4 runner.. Today was a slow day i worked a little late and i had to tend to my son so i didnt get to much done.. but i tore off the intake and the rest of the wiring harness for the fuel injection.. I still got to read and do alot more research to find out what exactally i need to use from the wiring harness to use the fuel injection.. the harness is old and and some of the plastic pieces are dry rotted but over all the harness is good.. I'm gonna clean the intake and get new injectors new gaskets and install.. Like i said b4 tho this build is gonna be slow.. i have my son so i do what i can when i can and im getting a divorce so its hard to support a project and a divorce at the same time.. but i got alot of things to do and i already have some parts so ill post as much as i can.. Oh yea i called marlin crawler today and they shipped my springs out today so they will be here with in the week hopfully..

So what i plan on doing:

-first things first is the fuel injection..
-swap the 4:7 gears from the t-case that is in it now to the t-case that orginally came out of it.
-the i will rebuild both axles from the pick-up (5.29 gears, aussie lockers, cromoly axle shafts and more parts to order then install)
-then the lift will install along with the new axles.. the front is gonna move 1.5 inches forward but i talked to marlin and im trying to do 2" forward.

that is the plan for this build so far.. I also have hydro assist but im gonna wait to install that..

Here's pictures..
and more pictures.. sorry there so big next time they will be smaller.

Update.. Ok sense I last posted I had started to take apart the Toyota Pickup to use the parts on the Toyota 4 Runner.. Well I tore the Toyota Pickup all the way down to the frame and cab.. and I ended up giving the frame and cab to my buddy.. I kept the engine tranny t-case drive shafts and axles and harness..

I also am getting ready to recieve my taxes.. Now i can pay off all my debt and start putting money into my rig. I tore down the 4 runner getting it ready to put on the new springs but I went threw the kit and I dont have all the parts that I need so its more waiting from marlin..

now for pictures..

oops!! i guess i deleted all the old pictures i already had on here...
I don't know what's taking so long, this should be done by now... Gap
Parts.... and that special stuff what is it called?? oh yea money!!
ok so i have been putting on this marlin crawler lift kit.. Its been taking a while because I dont have all the parts still.. But I got the front sping hanger and front springs installed. then i mounted the axle and tires.. I havnt mounted the gear box or the high steer because i'm gonna rebuild a different front axle and then install all of that at once.. I got to get the 4 runner out of my garage first so i have room to do all of it.. I havnt done the rear because im missing 5 bolts that are on order right now and i'm waiting for them to get here i'm guessin they should be here on monday..

here it is with the front lifted..

this one has the picture of the shackel its straight up and down.. Its installed exactally the way marlin said to do it to.. all the weight isnt on the axle yet tho because the back is still on jack stands so im gonna see what it does with the rear axle installed and its been drivin around a little bit.. I might just leave it a little straight up and down because there is a chevy 350 that needs to be rebuilt and installed in this rig also..

and here is my new axle.. Its a GM dana 60 that just magically showed up at my house.. hmmm wonder who could be so nice.. lol
