here is my new project. 87 jeep comanche 4.0 auto 6.5" lift 34-10.50 swampers trashed dana35 etc. needs a good bit of tlc. [Image: 100_0409.jpg] and this is what happens when a pinion bearing goes out and you keep driving it [Image: 100_0407.jpg] you can see the majority of the bearing in the drain pan. [Image: 100_0408.jpg] i'm going to just pull the pinion gear and driveshaft for now so i can roll it around the yard until i get a dana 44 or 8.8 to replace the turdy5 with

I just posted a link on how to three-link a Nissan H233B into one of those. Poke
Seriously not a bad option, if you can find a disc brake Pathfinder with the gearing you want, and an open diff that will accept a locker. They are a VERY strong third-member type axle. 6-log, though. Sad

All that nonsense aside, that is a cool truck. I really like those. Smile

you should get in touch with whinocaballo, he is buildin a 14bolt for his bronc so he won't need his 8.8. Who knows maybe you'll put a fire under his @_ _. So when I get back he has it'll be done. I'm sure he'll get rid of it on the cheap, that is if ya don't mind lincoln locked?

I like the old Comanches. Look forward to the end product. Or, at least the rolling version. I don't think there is ever an actual end.
