2002 Toyota Tacoma
V6
4x4
rear e-locker
144000 miles at purchase
Very nice fresh canvas

I have lots of plans for this truck. Unfortunately it will be a SLOW build.

Looking at longterm, I plan on building it into an expedition/overland rig

Mods so far:

Armor:
Trailgear sliders
Stock skids

Bed:
Remove toolbox
remove plastic bedliner
camper top
Roof rack
shovel and hi-lift mounted on rack
in-bed storage system
relocate cb antenna to rear bed corner

Suspension:
OME 882 front springs
bilstein 5100 adjustable struts in front
toyota-ford hybrid leaf springs
bilstein 5125 socks in rear
3" longer shackels

Inside:
Alpine aftermarket cd player in dash
cobra 18wx cb in dash
12 volt power inverter

Other:
relocate rear diff breather
gray wire mod
cut exhaust pipe

Future Plans:
Front Bumper (most likely some plate bumper)
Rear Bumper (most likely custom with swingout tire carrier)
Aftermarket Skids of some sort
basket on top of camper maybe
fresh water tank under bed
oba compressor
replace all stock speakers
2m radio
snorkel
electric fan

I'm sure there is more but that is all I can think of as of 5/1/12

RE: less 'skinny pedal' project
Sounds like a plan to me. Do you know anything about suspensions on these? I hate messing with the suspension myself. I'm always afraid something is gonna pop back and knock me out or something. I'd like to get the spacer off the front springs. maybe the add a leafs from the rear.

RE: less 'skinny pedal' project
I know we can do the back but im not sure about the front ive never done. I know someone who has taken it off of one truck and put it on his so ill call him and ask him. If you want to ride over Saturday we can atleast get the rims and tires swapped if nothing else! Ill call him tomorrow and see how hard it is to swap them spacers.

RE: less 'skinny pedal' project
I may be available on Saturday to help. I need to scout some trails, but we can work that in later. I have a spring compressor for the coils if need be. Call me and let me know when you are going to get started.
