I am fixing to change the plugs in my Jeep since I have no idea when or if they have been replaced. Have any of you used the Split Fire? The concept seems pretty good but with limited book learned mechanical knowledge, I just don't know what would be good. Please offer your opinion or experience on this.

Sorry about the "q" in the subject line. That one slipped by me. My fingers move faster than my brain.

I used NGK platinums in my Supra. I had iridiums but they don't last long enough.

I just put Bosch Platinum2s and a new set of wires on the 4Runner. It really made a difference. Most of it from the wires, I bet.

autolite is the same as accel so go figure

the only plugs that are really good most people wont buy
they are the laser cut denso ++ gold at 25.00 each butt they are good for
100.000 miles and the fire rate is unreal other than that

id say autolite or Denso any flavor

found em on ebay at a steal of a deal http://http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/IK16-5303-Denso-Iridium-Sparkplugs-4pcs-or-more_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33693QQihZ013QQitemZ230142701928QQrdZ1

Funny thing is th OEM plug for a 4.0L Jeep is a Champion.

I ran NGKs in my 97 XJ w/4.0L. Matter of fact I run NGKs in all my vehicles. I like Denso as well. Any electrician will tell you that electricity follows the path of least resistance, ...the one path of least resistance... so the fancy picture on the splitfire box is a myth. The only thing it will give you is slightly longer life from the bigger surface area in the side electrode. The only thing I found that splitfires actually do work better in is a two stroke, again more surface area = better foul resistance. You will not need foul resistance in your Jeep unless you have other problems....
