My XJ build
I had a thread a while ago - dont know where it is so this is a new and updated version: lot of text and pics to soon come

To Do:
rear 3-4 inch stretch with nissan titan springs

I have installed shackle relocation brackets from H.D. Engineering (http://www.hdoffroadengineering.com/) - they allow multiple holes for mounting and allow proper leaf spring flex and ride comfort. These also can be mounted to extend back to allow a shackle mount location to accomodate the new longer leafs. They box in and beef up the rear stock shackle box and are 1/4 1 piece breaked. They are currently installed with a new set of nissan 1 inch lift shackles (the stock titan shackles = 1 inch lift for XJ) and my Rubicon Express Leafs. Since the new shackle mounting location is lowered the brackets themselves provide an additional .5 inches to 1 inches of lift. I still have my dang old 1.5 inch blocks and those will be MIA once the new leafs are bolted in.

I have comp cut the rear and still need to massage some of the wheelwell when the leafs are put in. Overall, no mo blocks, better on road ride, more flex and extra stability with the 3 extra inches.

For the stretch I have these parts:
4 new U bolts
2 new titan leafs w/ out overlead spring
1 braided extended brake line
2 new shock mounts by JKS to move shocks to axle height - cut off old dangling mounts
2 rancho gas shocks - 9 inch travel - might be too short so might still use my 12 inch hydro's

After all thats bolted on cut and extend rear driveshaft about 3 inches - I just barely have too little slip so that will work

Only 3-4 inches MAX stretch due to gas tank skid clearance and honestly thats all I want anyways

The titan Springs are sweet because they are 2.5 inches wide and will provide perfect amount of lift and are the right length for the job

The Front END

I have in the mail 2 new outer and inner Yukon 27 spline chromo's for the dana turdy - also got the yukon super joints -BLING!

Also I am doing the WJ highsteer conversion also parts in mail:
comes with:
2 new WJ knuckles (Grand Cherokee) tapped for 5/8 heim
2 new WJ Calipers (bigger than stock dana 30 and have major bling factor)
2 new machined rotors with 5x4.5 bolt pattern
1 new tie rod - 1 inch and 1/4 tubing - 1/4'' wall with 5/8 heims
1 new drag link - 1 inch and 1/4 tubing - 1/4'' wall with 5/8 heims

Also since this is a high steer, I am relocationg the track bar mount -axle side- with a JKS OTA mount and on the frame side I have a Rubicon Express HD track bar mount - 1/4'' steel with a double sheer mount for heim, flex joint, etc. I will be using a heim on one end (frame) and a bushing on the axle side.

The WJ conversion is a great kit that beefs up the front while also getting better /stronger knuckles, high steer and more powerful braking

For the rear tubework and hatch, Beau is going to help me seal it in with fiberglass and a plexi window. We put in his old TJ windjammer and it fits perfects but a sealed window will help keep out rain, road noise and keep the a/c in. Also, behind the rear seat will be going a powered slim line Boss 8 inch woofer at 400 watts.

My frame rails also are getting some stiffeners, again from http://www.hdoffroadengineering.com/. They are 10 gauge, bent to conform to the unibody frame rail and provide a nice bare steel material for tying in my roll cage foot plates. These stiffeneers alo have a buch of 1/2 inch rosset holes in the for plug welds. My current rock rails which are held on bu self tapers will be taken off -> stiffeners buzzed on-> then rails will weld on to the stiffeners and also bolt on to the pinchseam

I also have front stiffener plates on the way from Temper Menal Racing. They are 10 gauge as wll and follow the unirail to the front of the vehicle to stiffner the front uni-chassis. again, these are weld on with holes for rossett welds.

Last Dana 30 mod - i have a set of gussets i will be having chris at WRF tig on- they pretty much are plates for the top and bottom C's and also a plate to box in the upper control arm mount. Lastly, I will get a dana 30 brace from Rusty's and buzz that on as well. I already have JKS low control arm skids (weld ons)

I just also installed a MaxPower Hypertech power programmer - we will see how it does on the trails here in a couple of days! I am getting about 100 miles on 6 gallons of gas - not bad for a big ol pavement pounder. I also will be relocating the Intake Air Sensor to the K and N intake to help richen the fuel mixture and replace the original sensor with a pipe cap. This mod can be found through Dino's 4.0 website! super easy and effective if you have other mods (intake, exhaust, header, etc). Great, cheap and easy mod for the 4.0L.

So, a lot to do before Yazoo - haha- it will all be done sometime this winter but a lot should be done this weekend.
Again, many pics to follow!

Best looking chop job I've seen on a Cherokee:

Looks like they chopped the top half of the hatch off and grafted it along with the hinges to the rear passenger compartment. I LOVE this jeep!! I think those are Explorer SporTrac flares...
