I just created sub-versions of the Mississippi-Mud and Mississippi-Mud Classic themes called "No Chat". They are the same, but without the chat box.

This is a solution for those who find the chatbox more of a bother than an asset, and for mobile users who are looking for simplicity.

To change themes, go to UserCP, click on Edit Options, then look in the lower right corner for the drop-down box that you choose your themes from. Choose yoru theme, then click "Update Options" and you are done.
